I was first made aware of the Ocicat from my sister Angela Lawrence who told me that they were the most colourful and different cat she had ever seen. Being in the Feline Control Council of Victoria I tried to find out if anyone within the FCCV bred these cats, but alas I could find out nothing at this time. Instead I looked around Europe but this did not eventuate. Bur during the course of an e mail conversation with people overseas I did find some information about a lady called Anne Stickland, but being a bit disheartened by all the time undertaken to get this far I just decided to forget about these cats for the time being.
Thankfully Anne Stickland did in fact contact me and I went to see her and found out she was a member of the Feline Control Council of Victoria and is a judge of over 30 years experience, Anne was so helpful and she sold me my first Ocicat cat and from there I also had another one on lease. During a period of time we were looking for a male and thankfully Anne found one for me together with another male who was purchased by my sister.
I would like to thank Anne Stickland and my sisterAngela Lawrence who encouraged and helped me get started.
